Mohenjo daro and some other Indus cities consist of two sectors, a western "Citadel" and an eastern "Lower City". Size and layout are typical criteria for differentiating cities from villages. Note: Mohenjo daro is also spelled "Moenjo-daro", which is the spelling used by the UNESCO World Heritage Organization. |
