This culture that developed in and around the Punjab following the peak of the Indus Civilization was named after the cemetery found in Area H at Harappa. Some of the burials in Cemetery H were secondary burials of urns containing human remains. The pottery was generally decorated with red slip, painted with antelopes, peacocks and other motifs in black and sometimes polished. A pot from Dadheri may represent a local variation of this culture. |
